چکیده

The needs of the application domain require that agent-systems be capable of supporting agents that are autonomous, concurrent, communicative and mobile. These systems should therefore be based on models of computation where concurrcncy has been dealt with explicitly. In order to realize the benefits of the agent-methodologies., it is also necessary to maintain a strong conceptual relevance to the domain of application. AgentSpeak supports nmltiple: autonomous, comnmnicaring agents that also possess properties of persistence.

N-Jason: Run-Time Norm Compliance in AgentSpeak(L)

Normative systems offer a means to govern agent behaviour in dynamic open environments. Under the governance, agents themselves must be able to reason about compliance with stateor event-based norms (or both) depending upon the formalism used. This paper describes how norm awareness enables a BDI agent to exhibit norm compliant behaviour at run-time taking into account normative factors. To thi...

Run-time norm compliance in BDI agents

Normative systems offer a means to govern agent behaviour in dynamic open environments. Under the governance, individual agents themselves must reason about compliance with stateor event-based norms (or both) depending upon the formalism used. This paper describes how norm awareness enables a BDI agent to exhibit norm compliant behaviour at run-time taking into account normative factors. To thi...

An Overview of Jason

Current trends in computer science such as the semantic web, ubiquitous computing, and self-* systems make it increasingly important that programming technology suitable for open, unpredictable, dynamic environments are made available. Many abstractions and techniques that emerged from research in multi-agent systems can have major impact in the effectiveness of (the development of) such system...

Intention Selection with Deadlines

In BDI agent programming, an intention is the combined plan steps an agent commits to in order to achieve a goal. One of the key features of the BDI approach is the ability of an agent to pursue multiple goals concurrently, by interleaving the steps of multiple intentions. Choosing the next step to progress (execute) from these concurrent intentions is critical, as the wrong choice can result i...

Co-evolution of i* and AgentSpeak(L) agents in agent oriented software engineering

In this paper we use i* which is a semi-formal modelling framework to model agent based applications. We then describe how we execute these models into AgentSpeak(L) agents to form the essential components of a multi-agent system. We show that by making changes to the i* model we can generate different executable multi-agent systems. We also describe reverse mapping rules to see how changes to ...
